Zoey

This darling little angel pin was designed in memory of Zoey, whose grandmother wrote, "I recently joined the AGAST grandparents grief support group.  Several of the sweet grandmothers there have talked about your angel pins.  I would like to have one made for my daughter in memory of my precious granddaughter, Zoey.  Zoey was born on Feb. 28th at 17 weeks gestation due to an "incompetent cervix".  She was 5.5 ounces and 7 1/4 inches long.  A perfect tiny angel.  Zoey lived for a miraculous 11 minutes and I mean that in every sense of the word...it was a true miracle.  We were told that her heart would stop when she was born.  My daughter was haunted by the thought that her sweet baby would not have a birth certificate.  Living 11 minutes gave my daughter that sweet piece of paper validating my granddaughter's life.  We call this our "11 Minutes of Heaven".  We have copies of her footprints...something that is special to us.  Zoey was also buried with her bear holding a little pink blanket...her mother and big sister have matching bears...Zoey's footprints are stamped on the blanket that her mother's bear is holding.

I have attached the link to Zoey's memorial page so you can see what her bear with the pink blanket looks like.  The picture of Zoey with her bear is what is being engraved on her grave marker.  Zoey's big sister name her grave site "Zoey's Garden" so a flower would also be quite appropriate..."
