Lisa Rose

This beautiful angel pin was designed in memory of Lisa Rose, whose mother wrote, "I lost my daughter on November 27, 1998 in Houston, Texas. Her name was LISA ROSE BROWN. Lisa was killed by a drunk driver. She was 33 years old.  Lisa was my first born daughter. I just turned 18 when she was born, so we grew up together.  I would dress her up in many different outfits and play with her as if she were my baby doll.  I would take her everywhere I went and show her off.  Lisa was a beautiful baby.  She had a head full of dark hair when she was born.... Lisa had a heart of gold and if anyone needed anything she would go without to see to it they got what they needed.  Lisa had a wonderful sense of humor and a great imagination.  She liked to write poems and tell stories.  Lisa liked the simple things in life.  She always had a smile for everyone.  Lisa always brought me fresh  flowers.  I would wake up in the morning and there would be flowers and a card from her on the table.  Lisa was a beautiful person inside and out.

In November 1998 Lisa decided it was a time in her life to make a change. Her sister Lori and Lori's daughter Haleigh Rose lived in Houston and Lisa decided to relocate to Houston to be near her sister and her niece.  Lisa arrived in Houston on November 8, 1998.   Lisa found a job and was on her way to the first day of her new job when she was hit by a van doing 60mph in a 35mph zone.  He ran a red light just as Lisa was driving through the green light. He crashed into her and broadsided her and she was killed instantly.  Lisa had been in Houston less then three weeks before she was killed. This person who killed her was also 33 years old and he was 3 times over the legal limit of being drunk...

 I think of Lisa everyday of my life. She is the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think of before I close my eyes at night and of course I think of her all day long. Lisa is forever in my heart....When I think of Lisa Rose, I think of a beautiful rose, an angel watching over us. I think of her smile, her voice and her kindness and her heart of gold."
