This darling little angel was designed in memory of  Kathryn Rose whose grandmother wrote:

“My grand-daughter Kathryn Rose had Proteus Syndrome and a form of Bannanan Riley Ruvalcaba Syndrome…these rare diseases caused arterial malformations and fatty growths along Kathryn’s spine, liver, and spleen, in addition to creating other malformations which did not allow Kathryn to walk or enjoy life in the way that non-afflicted children do.  Yet Kathryn was a very, very happy little girl…always smiling; she was a bright star in our lives and the embodiment of love which she taught us all to experience on a higher level.

Kathryn suffered a hypoglycemic stroke and seizures after being anesthetized for a routine MRI; three days later Kathryn’s brain herniated, ending her life on January 23, 2004,  only 10 days before her 4th birthday.

My daughter has  suffered the loss of two children (to stillbirth) …and now to lose her dear little Kathryn Rose.  I don’t know how my daughter can endure so much loss.  Our entire family is devastated, but none suffer as much as Kathryn’s mom & dad, and her surviving brothers Peter & Cody, and sister Ashley, who must now learn to face life without her.

I would like to have a very, very special angel for our Kathryn.   Kathryn loved the cartoon show ‘Blue’s Clues’ and always had with her the ‘Blue’s Clue’s’ notebook…..she also loved ‘Dora the Explorer’ and Kathryn could count in Spanish and also say some phrases in Spanish.  I bought some interactive Dora toys for her birthday (Feb. 2) to teach her more Spanish phrases…she would have loved them! Please make something very, very special for our Kathryn.”

The Kathryn Rose angel is about 1 1/2 inches tall and features a heart with her name engraved and February birthstone.  The Blue Clue's paw adorns the angel on the skirt.
