This little angel was designed in memory of Jacob Michael Carithers, whose mother wrote, "I'm writing you to request one of your beautiful Angel pins for my very own angel, Jacob.  My son Jacob was born on December 17, 2002... the day after my birthday. He was born 15 weeks early and weighed 1 lb. 14.5oz and was 12.5 inches long.   Jacob fought for his life as hard as he could... until he could not take it any longer. When Jacob was 38 days old we had to make the hardest decision of our life. We took Jacob off life support and he died peacefully in my arms on January 24, 2003... it was the first time I ever got to hold him. He was and always will be the light of my life, my precious preemie, my little buddy.  Could you put on there a little teddy bear wearing blue jean overalls? The theme of Jacob's nursery was going to be Blue Jean Teddy... and while he was in the hospital, he got so many teddy bears."

The Jacob angel is about 1 1/2 inches tall and features a gold heart that will have "Jacob" engraved on it with his December birthstone.  He holds a little teddy bear dressed in blue jean overalls.
