Grandfather

This angel was designed in memory of Theresa's grandfather.  Theresa wrote,   "(Please design an angel) in memory of my grandfather as my mother has had a really hard time since he passed away just 2 years ago. He lost his battle with lung cancer after she took care of him for a long one year that he had the disease.

I remember that she refused to put in a nursing home or hospital for someone else to take care of him. She wanted to be with him in his last year.

He was in the service until his retirement,  he enjoyed a few beers before he got sick with a few of his buddies, and up until he got sick; he would drive around my mother's town on a moped. When he was driving his moped; he fell off of it going around a corner and when he went to the hospital for the injuries; that is how they found the cancer.

He enjoyed making rocking chairs out of soda or beer cans. He made them up to two weeks before he died. He always told us that he learned to make them when he was in the service and the men had nothing else to do."
