"Dennis"
This angel was designed in memory
of Dennis Sullivan. A family member wrote, "My brother-in-law Dennis
Sullivan was taken unexpectedly from a motorcycle accident that was no
way his fault and was sitting at a light and hit from behind by a drunk
driver. He saw it coming and couldn't avoid the woman.....
I was wondering if you could make
a masculine angel pin for him. His favorite color is red. He
died doing what he loved best-riding his motorcycle. He was always
extra safe on his bike and his spirit just flew on that bike-like he is
soaring now. His symbol is the eagle or the bird of prey. We
were hoping his angel pin wings could have the fingers of the wings of
the eagle. Dennis loved people; he was so outgoing. He never
met a stranger; he easily befriended everyone he met. He had no enemies
and could talk to just about anyone. He was humorous and also had
the element of surprise to his personality. He was an avid hunter
and fisherman. He was an outdoor kind of guy and was one with nature.
When he went in the woods to hunt, he could smell the deer.
He became one with the earth and had a huge handsome nose and his sense
of smell I am sure was extra sensitive because of the size of his nose.
He would always get the most deer when he hunted of all his buddies.
He would get the most fish when he went fishing. He was also an ace
diesel mechanic and the best in the shop. But he was also a humble
man and not a braggart of his talents and had a silent side to him where
he kept most of his inner feelings hidden. He was creative too and
made flower boxes for his mother, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's
mother which he engraved and painted letters on the front, "Nanny's Flowers,"
"Mom's Flowers," and "Mom-Mom's Flowers." He was quite inventive
and mechanical and could fix or make things work through pure determination
and individual willpower. He was a go-getter and a person of action,
not a lot of talk. However, he knew how to have fun and make people
laugh. He came up with his personal namesake or motto of "Throttle
Twister" which is written on his gravestone, along with a motorcycle and
eagle emblem. He was a tough guy with a big heart. He had a
son 7 named Harley, daughter Sandra (22), and a great Granddaughter too.
He lived hard and fast and it was a good thing. He was 42. ..."
The Dennis angel is about 2 inches
tall and features the red motorcycle, a rifle, and a fish - all symbolic
of the things he loved. A red heart is engraved "Dennis".
