"CooCoo"
This beautiful angel was designed in memory of Judith Barone whose "adopted daughter" and friend wrote, "This past Sunday, my “adopted” mom passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Her name is Judith “CooCoo” Barone.
CooCoo is my best friend's mom. Myself and my 9-year-old daughter have grown close to her over the past few years as we were welcomed in their home with open arms as I was going through a divorce and my friend invited my daughter and I to CooCoo and Papa's with her often. I saw CooCoo just two days before she died and she told me again that she loved me and that I was her 6th daughter. Along with a great sense of humor, she was the sunniest, warmest, most loving person I've known in years and I am a better person for having had her in my life.
“CooCoo” as everyone close to her called her was retired from the dental offices of Dr. Fred T. Powell where she was a dedicated employee for 10 years and in that time she made many wonderful friends who touched her life in a special way. Judy was a parishioner of Resurrection Church where she enjoyed singing with the choir at St. Mary's. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All who knew her were touched by her kindhearted manner. Judy became known as “CooCoo” which was a loving nickname given her by her grandchildren. Of all her activities, she most enjoyed attending the numerous functions of her 10 grandchildren ranging from athletic events to concerts of every description. Her absence will leave an immense void in all of their lives. CooCoo also loves angels and has a collection of dozens of them on her mantle that she has collected over the years. There was NEVER a lack of an abundance of great food at CooCoo and Papa's house for everyone. She loved butterfly's and angels, her favorite flower is a peach rose and her birthday is July.
I know CooCoo’s biggest concern and sadness as she began to realize she was losing her battle with cancer is that her youngest grandchild, Jadyn, 2 years old, would not remember her."
