CHD Angel with Teddy
This pin was requested by a NJ
mother whose son was born with Congenital Heart Defects. It is designed
to honor all the children and adults that are CHD survivors and also
in loving memory of all those who lost their battle to the #1 birth
defect. The red and blue are symbols of the red and blue blood pumped
through the heart and body. It comes with or without a Teddy Bear,
the bear symbolizing the furry companion that many children take with them
for security and comfort during heart surgeries and other scary procedures
and as a reminder that many of the CHD angels are just children and babies.
CHDA, Inc. (http://www.chdawareness.org)
is a nonprofit volunteer organization founded by a CT family whose child
was born with complex congenital heart defects. The CHDA Inc. is
committed to providing support for families affected by congenital heart
defects. We sponsor events and host projects to raise CHD Awareness, Research,
Education, and Support.
