Ashlyn Elise

This angel was designed in memory of Ashlyn Elise whose grandmother wrote:

 "I had an infant granddaughter die this summer at 25 days old.  Her name was Ashlyn Elise.  She and her twin sister, Kendel Elizabeth, were born on July 25, 2009.  Ashlyn was in critical condition from birth due to a hypoxic global brain hemorrhage and some respiratory and heart problems, which eventually resolved.  Ashlyn was in a coma from just a few hours after her birth and on a ventilator until the day she died.  It was very hard for her parents and myself and we all miss her greatly.

She was a beautiful baby, 4 lbs and 4 ozs with blue eyes, blond hair and fair skin.  We nicknamed her Sweet Pea and used to sing You are my Sunshine to her.  It was the one thing she seemed to react to- she used to move a little and liked to rub her cheek against your hand if you touched her while you were singing to her.  At her funeral, many of the flower arrangements had sunflowers in them to honor her."


This little angel is about 2 inches tall and features the sunshine behind her pearl head, a gold heart that will be engraved "Ashlyn" with her July birthstone, a sunflower, and a tiny gold heart representing her twin on the wing.
